Plot Overview[]

Guilty over his actions while unwillingly transformed, Mao expresses regret over the events of the previous chapter. Somewhat incensed on his behalf, Nanoka realizes she has some residual pain from her collision with Mao in order to remove the puppet needle. Though Mao has verified her ribs are intact, Nanoka's preoccupied with the way in which he drew that conclusion.

Elsewhere, inside the dark room of a hospital, a nurse discovers a patient has gone missing. Mao and company are later consulted by Tenko about a blind patient who refuses to eat managing to disappear from his room every night. After tailing the patient that night, Mao, Nanoka and Otoya discover him eating graveyard dirt and spewing black cursed energy. Natsuno appears soon after, telling Mao that this is not her doing.
